About the Instructor

Cherie Weber, M.Ed., LMT, CST

Some of you may already know me, since you may have had me as your instructor at Stark State College. If so, you know that I have been a teacher for many years, whether in a middle school classroom or teaching massage therapy at Stark State. I have been a licensed massage therapist since 2005, and own Heiwa Center, a holistic wellness center in Mineral City, Ohio, where I have been practicing for the past 21 years. I completed my certification in craniosacral therapy in 2013, and it has become a major influence in the way I practice bodywork today.

My CST certification came from Ken DiPersio (KJD Therapy), who practices in Tampa, Florida. Ken was an early student and teacher for the Upledger Institute. He had the privilege of training with John Upledger Sr., who is considered to be the “father of craniosacral therapy.” Ken later left his position at Upledger Institute to teach on his own as he went on to study Biodynamics with Michael Shea.

Ken Dipersio could not offer his students Upledger credentials after leaving Upledger Institute, and therefore neither can I. However, Ken served as a knowledgeable, passionate teacher of this work and it is my intention to do the same. My goal as your instructor is to teach you what I have learned about craniosacral therapy so that you, too, can expand your knowledge and deepen your understanding of this type of bodywork and be able to use it in your own practice.
